The player signatures have arrived, with additional flair compared to previous Majors.

The long-awaited player signature stickers commemorating the PGL Stockholm Major were finally been released in-game on Tuesday. The set of signature stickers includes all those from players who competed in the Champions Stage of the Major, a distinct departure from past Valve-sponsored events.

Many within the community were upset about the sudden change in policy regarding player signatures and were left wanting more communication from Valve. Since the player autograph stickers were introduced at ESL One Cologne 2015, every player at a Major event received an autograph in-game, but it would seem that Valve may want to make player stickers more exclusive, and is restricting access to teams who make the playoffs.

The stickers are available in two capsules, one containing only signatures from the winning team Natus Vincere, and the other containing the seven Champions Stage teams: G2, HEROIC, Gambit, Vitality, FURIA, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and Virtus.pro.

On top of releasing the much-anticipated player stickers, Valve also released a new music kit for The Flashbang Dance by The Verkkars and Jordan "⁠n0thing⁠" Gilbert. There was also a change made to smoke grenade behavior, which will cause them to "ignore players when detonating over burning fires and tracing to ground."
